John Morehead, M.D., F.A.C.S, is a nationally
recognized facial plastic and cosmetic surgeon. He
is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow
of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American Academy of
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Morehead is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. His post-graduate medical and surgical training was accomplished at these institutions: Riverside Hospital of Newport News, Virginia, USAF Medical Center Keesler, Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, and The University of Texas Medical Center at San Antonio. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also continues to serve on the teaching staff at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Morehead retired from the United States Air Force in 2002, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In the Air Force he served as a flight medical officer (flight surgeon) as well as a clinical surgeon, and was assigned to fighter squadrons in Europe and stateside. He is a member of the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
Dr. Morehead is a member of the medical staff at Medical City Dallas and Park Central Surgery Center. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society.
